Internet Explorer 11 - Issue with seekbar

Jan 31, 2020

With the most recent Storyline update (Build 3.36.21289.0), I am experiencing issues using the seekbar when using it in Internet Explorer 11. I am unable to scrub the seekbar or play/pause the narration that's synced into my module, although the seekbar is enabled from the player.

I output the module using LMS SCORM 2004, 4th Edition.

Have this ever happened to anyone? Please let me know.

Hello Zi,

Thanks for contacting us to share what you are experiencing in your course.

We are looking into a similar issue that occurs in courses where the seekbar has not been included on the first slide.

As a workaround, enabling the seekbar on all slides should alleviate the problem in the meantime.

Does this describe what you are seeing as well?

Hi, I am experiencing the same issue. With internet explorer 11 the seekbar and attached controls can't be clicked on. (no problem with Chrome, Firefox or Edge).

I confirm that enabling the seekbar on the first slide solve that problem, but in some cases, it's not very relevant to display a seekbar in a slide without animation or audio.

Is this a problem that we can expect to be fixed in a future update ?

From what I'm seeing it's not just if the seekbar is disabled on the first slide, but any slide prior to navigating to a slide with the seekbar enabled. I enabled it on the first slide and the seekbar worked fine, then I navigated to a different slide that has the seekbar disabled, and then to a slide that utilizes the seekbar and it can not be clicked. I have a project with many slides that don't need the seekbar intertwined with slides that do need the seekbar.

I'm able to publish properly utilizing build 3.35.21017.0 of Storyline 360. I'll have to stay on that build until this is fixed.

Hi all!

We released Update 38 (Build 3.38.21779.0) for Storyline 360 today!

I'm happy to announce that included in Update 38 (Build 3.38.21779.0) is a fix for a recent bug where toggling the Play/Pause button and scrubbing the seekbar wasn't working in Internet Explorer if your previous slide does have seekbar disabled.

Make sure to update your Articulate 360 Desktop app to take advantage of the recent bug fixes and new features!
