ios 8 and updated Articulate Storyline Player issues

There's a known issue where content won't load properly in the Articulate Mobile Player (AMP) in Apple's iOS 8. The loading circle just spins. We're working to fix it as soon as possible. In the meantime, you can avoid this issue by downloading the content item for offline viewing. Here is an article on how to do this.

We are also noticing that the HTML5 version is not working in Safari or Chrome on iOS 8, despite this being a recommended "fix". Has anyone noticed this issue as well?

I have tested the iOS 8 with HTML5 using Chrome and Safari, and the courses will load, however the videos are not working. I have sent this to our QA team for review.

I have retested all my learning objects and they load but as right after that they freeze.  These modules were working totally fine before the update and also they also still currently work fine on the computer browsers.  Its just when its playing on the Articulate mobile layer for ipad they all crash.

Hello Ben,

We have updated the AMP to vrsion 3.16 on Sept 20th to correct this issue. Please make sure you have the current update of the player.

You can go into your App store, then click on updates.

I checked these on an iPad mini using iOS 8 in the new AMP and they played without issue.

Thanks Emily for testing.  Yes I updated my AMP and I am currently doing a total refresh of my ipad air just to make sure it is not my ipad.  If it is great...problem solved.

Currently what is happening is I am able to load and have it reach the home slide of the modules but as soon as I start to interact with it..it crashes.  My concern is that this only started happening when the AMP was updated.

I again wanted to confirm you are using the newest AMP AMP to version 3.16 that was released after your initial post.

If this is still an issue, you may wan to open a support case.

Yup I updated to ios 8 and updated the latest AMP on my ipad air.  I honestly really don't know what else to do.  I tried to make the file size smaller with customization in the publishing options...it loads but as soon as you interact with it...it crashes.
