iOS 9 audio not audible on first slide played

Sep 01, 2015

At this moment iOS 9 is still in beta, but we've been doing some testing of the HTML5 Storyline player and found something strange that we can't seem to work around: the first slide played (not necessarily the first slide of the SCO) does not play the audio.  The timeline moves, animations/events progress as you expect, but there is silence.  The silence continues until you either pause and play, click (scrub) the timeline, or navigate away from and back to the slide, then the audio plays perfectly.  The incidence seems greater on clearing browser (Safari) cache, but does not seem related to duration or number of clips on the timeline (we tested a series of clips).

Anyone seen this in testing?  Specific to iOS 9? iPad? other factors?

Ashley, we're now less than a week away from the officially announced launch date for iOS 9. With 100K+ end users of Storyline based courses, we need to know if the above bug has been replicated, has or will be addressed, etc. It's not unreasonable to want to hear from you guys -before- the OS is officially released so we can all be prepared for Day 1 upgraders (of which there will be many). (It's not like we asked about Beta 1; we asked about the final public beta 2 weeks before launch.) Possible please to get some sort of official response before end of week so we know what to expect, can inform our CS team if there's an issue (or workaround to guide customers through), etc? Thank you!
