Ipad performance issues

Jun 10, 2017

Hi, I'm having problems with getting my storyline file to work properly on ipad. None of these issues are apparent on desktop/laptop. I've also briefly gone through this list: https://articulate.com/support/article/comparing-flash-html5-and-articulate-mobile-player-output-for-articulate-storyline-2

I have a list of issues that need resolving and wondered if anyone could help ?

1.0  You tube video playback

My videos in SL2 to stop at the end of playing a specific video ( and not move on to the next video ). This works fine on desktop/laptop but on an ipad , the next video will play on you tube.

Is there some extra code I need in the trigger for ipad ?

2.0 sliders

I have created two slides one with a horizontal slider, that wont perform on AMP consistently. It is required  to move left and right, at each end to reveal a layer. The performance is inconsistent, sometime I can get it to slide both ways & other times it wont move at all ?

The second slide has two vertical sliders one red , one blue. You slide the button and you get taken to a new layer, when you return to the original layer of 2 vertical sliders, the blue button is not visible ?

3.0 Layer reveal from hidden to normal & next button

I have a slide set up so that when the student clicks on the right answer it reveals another layer. Once that layer reveals ( initially hidden ) the user can go on to the next slide by clicking on the next button. The next button will function on condition it is true that the layer is normal . However the layer doesn't appear on the ipad, so can't move on to the next slide when clicking next, works fine on desktop ?

Hi Altan,

Sorry you've encountered these issues, and thanks for letting us know what's going on. I can definitely help. To get a better idea of what could be causing this, I'd like to take a closer look at your file.

Could you attach a copy of your .story file here? If you'd like to keep it private, use this form instead.
