I am finding this software extremely difficult to use, with a very steep learning curve. I have now wasted several days trying to wrap my head around Storyline and when I finally published, the .story file is nowhere to be found. I have a .zip file with a bunch of files that I don't need, and no record of it was retained in the desktop app. Tutorials are great for the experts as they fly through and don't show what they are clicking on. Very frustrating.
Open SL, and it will list recent files. Those will be the .story files. Load the one you are working on, and do a Save As… That will open a dialog box that will show you where the .story file is located.
Oh, and by the way, you will need all those zipped files if you want users to be able to use your published version.
