Is it possible to have a free text box and different interactions on what's entered?

Feb 22, 2016

As the title suggests, I wish to have a text box where the learner can type a necessary website for their roles but they need to make sure they're not putting www.      so to avoid complaints that the site isn't working

so i wish to create a box where they have open text for their first attempt at the address and that have 3 responses for certain conditions

www. at the start - would lead to "remember www. will result in the website not loading, please remove this"

Not exact correct characters - "i'm sorry that isn't quite right"

 Perfect response - "That's correct"

If anyone can point me in direction of any tutorials or let me know if this is impossible would be much appreciated.

Hi Nathan!

I'm not sure if you were hoping for this to be a quiz type question. This option to provide feedback by choice is only available for some question types, including Multiple Choice, Word Bank, Pick One, Which Word, Freeform Pick One, and Freeform Hotspot as you can see in this tutorial.

Otherwise, you could simply have a generic message that includes the www message and the incorrect message on the Try Again feedback as shown in the same tutorial above.

If you are looking for a more custom setup, hopefully someone in the community will be able to chime in and assist you with your design.
