I want to create a simple test, so the testee fills in the gaps in the text with phrases to choose from the list above. Is it at all possible in Storyline? I've noticed that Storyline is more for action, animation and probably is great with it, but I can't find a template matching my needs...
Hi, Adam! Thanks for your question! Would you maybe want to consider using a freeform style, like text-entry, as outlined in this tutorial? If not, perhaps others in the community can make some suggestions that you would prefer. :)
Adam, I am currently working on the same type of quiz. I inserted a New Slide, and picked Quizzing as the type and then you can select one of the tabs at the top - Graded, Survey, Freeform. You will find choices for text entry, drop down, matching, etc.
Great thanks for quick answer! I will work on it tomorrow, but I have looked through quizzing and it didn't look like something that I can create alike attached staff (check), so if that would not be too much to ask, if you could share with me your result. I will do the same if I manage to come up with something tomorrow.
1. Will that your example work like this: someone is dragging one of the word boxes from to top to the proper frame (box) in the text and will score (eg. 1 point) if it's correct, right?
2. Which drag and drop option you have choosen (there are few)? Maybe bank in my case will be the best?
3. Someone suggested step-by-step tutorials like here: https://community.articulate.com/series/4/articles/drag-and-drop-questions-in-articulate-storyline-2, but still I even can't get to such a view of columns and my main question is, if it's something even simplier from the very beginning and devoted to particulate kind of drop and drag. In other words there's a question how you have done, what you have done, but that would take time, I understand....
I've attached a document showing a screen print of where you can choose to score or provide feedback on a question. I've used the Freeform single drag and drop option but you can have multiple boxes (answers) to drag. I've also used the Graded Matching Drop Down quiz (shown in the attachedment). I have not tried word bank but that would work for your purpose as well.
The step by step tutorial I used to help me was from Articulate Storyline, not Storyline 2.
You will also have to insert New Slide, Quizzing, and Results slide to see the score. You can rearrange the look of the Results slide but leave the formula statements there. I did notice that the scoring appears to be per slide, with one slide being considered a question. when I did the Matching Drop Down I had 9 separate questions on one slide but it was scored as only 1 question, so the results either showed 0 or 100%.

Thanks for your input, Michele! Perhaps you could share a sample from your .story file here to give Adam some ideas? Just a thought!

Adam,
I created a single slide to show you how you might accomplish your task. I hope this helps you.
Great thanks, Michele. That's about perfect! Now I have to figure it out, how to do it, since I am real freshman in the field, but I hope I will.
The main question at that point is if it's possible to have more than one box in one verse (line) and to have next sentence in the same line.
It was really a significant help, Michele!
Have a good day!
Adam
Still not succeded yet... So:

In the meantime I have realized that you already have given some instruction, so I will try.
Sorry, I was working in the late evening (different time zone and focused myself on the result).
Thank you again!
Hi, Adam -- Glad to see that Michele is assisting you here, and please feel free to keep us updated if you need anything else! :)
