I'm still having it too. Any answers yet?
Hi Rick! Have you tried the troubleshooting provided in this thread. We are finding that a new file import or a repair of the software is correcting these issues.
I'm getting the same error message on a project we've been working on for six weeks.
Hi Jennifer and welcome to E-Learning Heroes!
This thread is a bit dated, but did you conduct any of the troubleshooting that I shared above to see if it eliminated your issue?
I just got it today using Storyline 2.
Hi Brent,
Could you tell us a bit more about what happened when you received the error message? Were you upgrading an SL1 file to SL2? Ensure you were working locally with all your Storyline files? Have you recently done the repair solution? Have you had any other difficulty with your files?
I know a group of users have experienced this behavior and are working with our Support team to look at files and pull system logs so that our QA team can investigate further. If you'd like to connect with them as well please reach out to them here and share a copy of your .story file.
Ashley:
I was working locally on an installed version of SL2 with a new file. All other files have worked well. This file consisted of a single MP4 video and I was creating pop-up notes in different layers. After reading this thread, I followed the advice of saving the file to a different folder with a new name and then I no longer had the error. I brought the same file into work today and finished it on a different machine. I am still not sure what caused the error and it has not reoccurred so I am afraid I will be useless for troubleshooting.
Thank you for reaching out.
Thanks Brent for the update. I'm glad you were able to recover the file. If you run into the behavior again, please share a copy of the file with us so that our team can take a look. Also, I'd suggest to stay subscribed to this thread as our team continues to investigate this issue we'll share any updates here.
