Is there a global setting to change all the existing slides to 'Reset to initial state' when revisited?

Apr 07, 2018

The scenario:

A learner completed a screen recording scene in 'Test mode' and failed the test.

I want them to be able to go back and try again to pass the test.
However, the hot spots are not active when they try again. I assume that's because it is set to: 'when revisiting, Automatically decide'.
If that's the case, it will take me a long time to change the setting on all existing slides to become: 'Reset to initial state'.

My question:
Is there a global setting to change all the existing slides to 'Reset to initial state'?
If not, can I force storyline to always automatically decide to reset to initial State?

Thanks!

Hi Amos

open the file in Story View - Select the first slide in the scene then Ctrl-A to select all slides then in the bottom right hand corner Slide Properties panel and make the change to all selected slides.

Hi Amos,

No, there is not a way to force Storyline to always set slides as Reset to Initial State, however, you can change the setting in bulk. Go to the Story View, select all of the slides in a scene, then adjust the Slide Properties. You won't be able to select every slide at once if you have multiple scenes, but this approach is definitely quicker than adjust each slide individually.

Hope that helps.
