Is there a way to enable a full-screen mode for a Storyline module?

Mar 22, 2019

I am creating e-learning modules that will be uploaded onto a Moodle platform. Ideally, I would like my users to be able to full-screen the modules so that they can have a more immersive experience, but can't seem to find a way to do this. Is there a capability I can enable to allow users to have a full-screen view of the modules?

Thanks for any help!

Hi there Athina,

Have you tried changing the player properties? See if this gives you what you want:

On the Home tab, click Player > Other, and for Player Size, choose "Scale to fill browser window." (see attached screenshot)

Keep in mind, though, that your published output might not look as crisp if your learners have large monitors, and your story size is set to standard dimensions such as 720x405 or 720x540. There's always a bit of tradeoff in visual quality when the output gets scaled.

Also, I'm not a Moodle user so I can't say for certain how the Moodle UI might affect the published output... sometimes an LMS will constrain the size of the course (or add its own chrome around it) even if your player properties say otherwise.

Hope that helps!
