It often happens that I want to insert a scene ahead of other scenes. When I do that, Storyline assigns the next number to the scene, even if I want it to have a different number.
It offends my sense of order if the numbers are not consecutive! Is there a way to renumber scenes so that the inserted scene falls in the right number order?
OK, David's Screenr was very helpful, and I was able to cut and paste the scene. I still can't get the positions of the scenes right in Story View, but at least the list of scenes shows the correct numbers.

Hi Norma,
Personally, I think that David Anderson's method of cutting and pasting (while having the previous scene selected) works best for renumbering.
It's a little into the video, but he shows you how to cut and paste a scene so that it will show up in the position and with the number you want:
I hope that helps!
Thanks, Christine! I will check this out and let you know the result.

Sounds good, Norma! :)

Hi Norma,
Thanks for the update!
Glad to hear that, while it's not quite perfect, that it did help :)
Have a great day!
The video is kaput. I wound up cutting the incorrectly numbered scenes, making them into new story files, and importing them back into the original.
