Issue with file names in published output
Jul 17, 2019
I am having an issue with file names in my published output. I am using the newest version of Storyline 360 and publishing to HTML5 only. In particular, Web Objects seem to produce files with names like this: "5b5Whwe9sMY5cmtaD5vmlc{Width=560, Height=416}Light_DX1120_DY1120_CX560_CY416.jpg" in the published output.
Files names with the "{" character cause our client's environment to mark these files as invalid and prevents playback. It seems really strange for this text string "{Width=560, Height=416}" to be included as part of the filename in the published output. Is there anyway to remove it or prevent it from happening?
Has anyone else come across this issue?

Hi there, Scott. I see the same thing in published output that includes web objects and videos inserted from a website. I'm sorry this is impacting your client. Let me document this for my team to investigate, and I'll update you here with any changes.
These files are in the Storyline Output > Mobile folder as the editing placeholder images for the web content on your slide. When I deleted these files, I was still able to launch the content successfully from my test server.
Thanks for your reply Crystal! I have been testing the same solution (simply removing the files with offending names) and it does seem to work. Thanks again
