Issue with HTML5 output and lightbox menu

Dec 12, 2012

Hi everyone,

I'm hoping someone here can help out with an HTML 5 issue within storyline.

We are currently developing a course which includes a custom menu navigation contained inside a lightbox screen that is designed to jump to four specific sections throughout the course.

When published to Flash it works fine, but when outputted to HTML 5 and viewed on both PC and iPad  the menu will not jump to the designated screens and often crash the entire course.

Attached is a demo of the menu linking to four pages. Any help with this issue will be a massive help!

Thanks

Will.

Hey all,

You may find that a slide in Articulate Storyline starts out paused when you click a button inside a lightbox that triggers both of the following actions:
*  Close lightbox
*  Jump to slide
This issue was corrected in Update 3 for Storyline. Please review the following article for more information:

Hi Phil,

I saw you posted over here as well in regards to another issue with the lightbox and HTML5, where I confirmed it has been reported to our QA that there are remnants left on the screen. Although I don't see the issue that Peter mentioned here being fixed in Update 3 of Storyline 1 still occurring in Storyline 2 Update 1. We'd be happy to take a look at what you've got set up in terms of your triggers and see if it's something that we need to report to our QA team.

Thanks! I'm using update 8. What's happening is, a question is asked and if they get it right a lightbox pops up with an additional activity. It's totally going bonkers and not working properly. I can post up an example, but you'd need to find a server to run it off of since you need to test it in iPad. I could also post up some screenshots if needed. Thanks!

Ah, well that would be why you didn't hear from anyone. It must not have come through the system. It really would be easier to assist if we could take a look at the .story file. You can submit privately as Ashley shared above and if you have any trouble with submission, please submit via e-mail to support@articulate.com and a case will auto-create for you.
