Issue with "jump to file"
Mar 28, 2013
Bonjour,
On one of my course I have some PDF you can see when you click on a button with a trigger who contain : "Jump to URL / File when user click on button1".
It works with Firefox but not with IE and Chrome.
Do you know what to do ?
I have the latest IE an Chrome... As I can see it works with the HTML5 files but when I publish it on AOL it stays on the HTML file... I don't know what to do . . .
Thank you
Sébastien

Hi Sébastien
Have you checked the pop-up blocker settings for the other browsers (Chrome and IE)?
Also, it sounds like nothing happens at all when you click on the link for the file. Is that right, or are you seeing any errors or blank windows?
Can you share the file so I can take a look, or send it over to us for testing?
Thanks!
Christine
Good Morning, Sebastien.
Does this problem occur when your content is hosted on the Web, or only when it's inside an LMS? Are your files contained within your Storyline content, or are you linking to an external URL? If you'd like to share a copy of your file, we'd be happy to take a closer look. Thanks!
This is a test I made.
On Chrome and IE it does not show the Word file. It works with the HTML 5 publication, but it seems not to load it ...
If you have a solution that 's would be great !
Thank's

...and even if they did, most Internet browsers will not allow hyper-linking or redirecting to a file on the local hard drive as you have done. Three better options include:
