Issue with resetting/reattempting a quiz

Hi Heroes,

Please help! I've just built my first course in Storyline 360 with a quiz at the end (drawn from a Quiz Bank) and I'm having technical difficulties with the resetting/reattempting feature for when a learner fails. We have a pass mark of 80% and give the learner multiple attempts to do the assessment. On the results slide I have a 'retry' button with two triggers - 'reset the results' and 'jump to quiz instructions' (in that order). When I'm testing the course and fail the assessment and click the retry button it resets the score (great) but then nothing else happens. If I click multiple times (up to 6) on the retry button it eventually takes me back to the quiz instructions slide but a learner isn't going to do this and it's not working how I want. Can anyone please suggest a solution? Thanks

Hi Brian Allen, perhaps you can help me? I'm having a similar yet different issue. I'm using Storyline 3 with a quiz at the end, and a 80% pass mark. The learner has unlimited attempts. When I fail and click retry, the answers reset, however I cannot add new answers on the second time around. Thanks in advance!

Hey Madison!

Thank your sharing your file and providing that explanation! I was able to review your quiz and discovered what was taking place. 

It looks like it was a condition/variable that was set on the Retry Button that was causing to the quiz not to reset.  I made a Peek 360 video for you showing what I found: Retry Button Video. 

I am also attaching the Storyline file to this thread with the updated conditions. I do want to note that it is a stripped down version of your course and only contains the quiz.
