Issues when collating sim-based captures on different PCs
Jan 31, 2013
2 x PCs running different monitors; PC A is widescreen 1280 x 1024 and PC B is normal 1280 x 1024. When both are using SL to record sim-based screens (even of the same software), the captured results are totally different. PC A looks crisp and neat, but PC B looks stretched (in all directions - it's like it's capturing at something "made up" like 1680 x 1440 and then scrunching it down).
I'm trying to knit together captures from both PCs into a series of modules, but the lack of uniform sizing is preventing this from happening.
Am I being stupid in thinking that the same res should provide the same output? Can other factors mess with this? I
Cheers

Hey Simon,
That actually sounds really interesting, and like something our engineers would love to be able to explore and test on their end. Would you mind opening a ticket and sharing your findings with them? If you could include samples of the two different videos that would be great, too. Appreciate the help!
Sure, I'll send something across tonight time permitting. Although TBH I'm not sure it's a SL issue because the actual screenshots (with just a CTRL-Print Scrn) are looking different. Odd.
