I'm building a course in Storyline and when I add MP3 files, they sound badly, with the sound "S" very distorted. When I listen to the original files, they sound great. What could be the problem?
When you publish, there is a setting in there somewhere that lets you define the audio quality (same old rule - better quality requires larger filesize).
Thank you Russ, the thing is that some audios can be heard perfectly while others not, and this doesn't change with the audio quality. It seems more like an issue when adding a particular audio to a certain slide, than an issue related with publishing.
This is odd, isn't it? I've dealt with audio a good bit in SL and haven't had inconsistent problems like you described. Sorry I don't have any other suggestions right now.
Thanks for sharing the link. I'm getting the same distortion on my machine, so if you'd like, we'd be happy to take a closer look at it. Please submit a case, including your .story file, using the link below so our support team can assist you further:

I enclose this link so you can listen to it, and I can check if it's my computer:
https://s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/teamb1/story.html
If you listen to "Advantages of team work" you'll see that some of the tabs have a strange noise, but the original files are ok.
Furthermore, the first slide I hear it with interruptions and the sound overlaps the layer sound, but this doesn't happen when previewing.
I need to deliver 5 modules like this by next Monday, so I'd appreciate your help!!
Thanks a lot!
Belen
