Issues with importing video

Hi Everyone,
I'm fairly new to Storyline, but I've managed to put together a quick 5 minute module for software training. On one slide in a hidden layer, I've imported a video of a screencast (about 45s long) that can be viewed once the layer is revealed. However, once it's imported, a 10 second lag is created in the video so it becomes very out of sync with the audio. The source file itself shouldn't be the issue because when I watch it in a media player, there isn't a problem.
Any thoughts on what might be causing the problem? I'm assuming it's occurring during the import
Thanks in advance,
Jess

This is probably not something that happens to the video during import. It's probably something in the SL module. Start by checking the timeline of the layer to see if the video is set to the beginning of the timeline.
Otherwise, if you attach the offending .story file (or maybe a cut-down version with just that slide) somebody may be able to give you some ideas.
Hi Jess
is the video at the beginning of the timeline on the layer?
Yes the video is at the beginning of the timeline.
Hi Jess,
Is the video and the audio the same file? Are they both on the layer or is one on the base slide? As Walt mentioned, it may help if you're able to share the .story file here so that we can take a look at what's happening.
Hi Ashley,
Yes, the video and audio are in the same file (an mp4) and both are on the hidden layer.
Unfortunately, I can't share the .story file due to organizational restrictions on distribution of the content.
Hi Jess,
Are you able to share it privately? If so, you can send it along to our Support Engineers and they can also sign an NDA if needed.
