It is possible to get tracking&reporting on iPad without Articulat

Hi Jorge!

You might want to take a quick look at this chart that compares the different outputs for Storyline. HTML5 does support Tracking and Reporting, but HTML5 is a little touchy. It's best to use the Articulate Mobile Player when viewing content on the iPad. However, if you look at that chart, you may be able to determine whether or not you'll run into any issues in the future by using HTML5 content.

Yes, i did check that chart, but there are 3 columns, and HTML5/Mobile are two different ones

So far i couldn't be able to track an HTML5 version in iPad, thats why im asking. Did someone accomplish this?

How can I track and report on mobile learners' progress?

To track your learners who view your iPad or HTML5 content, you'll need to do any one of the following:

• Deploy your course from Articulate Online: Articulate Online fully supports tracking users who view your course with the Articulate Mobile Player on an iPad. When you publish, choose Articulate Online as your publish option, and mark the checkbox to "Use Articulate Mobile Player on iPad." Find out more about publishing to Articulate Online here.
• Deploy your course from an LMS which supports the Tin Can API: Tin Can is a communication specification which allows learning management systems to receive tracking data from mobile apps. When you publish, choose LMS as your publish option, and mark the checkbox to “Use Articulate Mobile Player on iPad.” (If your LMS provider doesn’t yet support Tin Can API, we recommend that you urge them to do so.) Find out more about publishing for LMS here.
• Deploy your course as HTML5 content, and have learners access it from your LMS with a browser that supports HTML5: This is a good option if you’re using an LMS which does not support Tin Can API and if learners will use an iPad or other device which doesn’t support Flash. When you publish, choose LMS as your publish option, and mark the checkbox to “Include HTML5 output. Find out more about publishing for LMS here.

I have been able to track from HTML5/iPad to Scorm cloud, but not to Sakai, it may be LMS fault

Christine, HTML5 does support Tracking and Reporting, but HTML5 is a little touchy.

Dose this mean sometime its track some time not track the result?

Actually I am facing issue in html5 output, when I am viewing the course on iPad result not get submitted (I am viewing html5 output), but same output post result when I use desktop.

Can you help me please?

This thread is a bit dated.

Are you able to replicate the behavior in SCORM Cloud? This is typically how we determine if the issue lies within the course or within the LMS.

If you are able to replicate in SCORM Cloud, then we would want to take a look at your .story file.

I have submitted support case(Articulate Case # 00733085). 

I am facing following issue: 

It's working on the Scrom Cloud and our Local LRS (when story.html used as launch) as well but same package is not working on the iPad (when story_html5.html used as launch).

It's go to result slide but shows error unable to connect server, and don't submit the result slide to LRS.
