I have been developing an accessible matching activity in Storyline (I used a template that I found on eLearning Heroes). However, I am having an issue with the correct answer disappearing after a choice has been made. I can't figure out why. There is no exit animation and there are no triggers that change its state to hidden as far as I can tell, so I cannot for the life of me figure out why it would be disappearing. Can anyone help?
I can’t look at it right now, but here is something to try first. Did you create a Correct state for the object? If so, It is possible that in creating the Correct state, you created the new state on the spot on the screen where you wanted (or expected) it to be. When it is moved from its original position, that puts the Correct state (probably) down and to the right. Edit the Correct state, and move the object to have its upper left corner on the little cross.
The visible object shows in relation to the cross, which is relative to where the Normal object actually is on the screen.
You use the Correct layer to make all the incorrect options disappear, which is probably a pretty good idea. But then the Incorrect layer makes the correct option disappear. The Incorrect layer is never closed, so when you go to Retry and come back to the previous slide, the Incorrect layer is still showing, with the correct option hidden.
Two simple options:
1. Hide the Incorrect layer when the messages button is clicked, before the jump to retry. I don't like it, because the correct answer disappears, and after one slide, the user will figure it out. It's like trying a T/F question again.
2. Don't hide the correct option on the Incorrect layer.

There is a correct state, but the corner is as you say. And it is a custom-named state, not the built-in Drop Correct state.
