Javascript and Browsers
Jul 01, 2014
Hi,
I use very simple javascript in a storyline project.
It seems to work fine in IE, Opera and Safari. It does not work at all in Chrome and Firefox. Javascript IS enabled (other simple html pages with javascript run fine in Chrome and Firefox). Have you come across this problem? Do I do something wrong (e.g. when I publish the project). Please, any suggestion is very much appreciated.

Hi Vassiliki -
Are you publishing locally or to a Web server?
Hi,
Thanks for your message. I publish locally. After I saw your message I uploaded on server. It works in all browsers if it is on server. I understand it runs the .html5. Do you know what the problem is or how to fix it? It is problematic to upload on the server in order to test. Many thanks anyway.
The Flash Player has a security feature that prevents running locally. The security settings manager will allow you to whitelist local folders. The other way to get around this in testing locally is to publish to CD. The CD runtime wrapper gets around the restriction. It's still an HTML output.
Many many thanks!
