Jump to specific slide using Javascript

Jan 16, 2017

Hi,

I searched a lot but could not find a reference of Javascript code in Articulate Storyline 2 using which I can jump to specific slide. Although when you run any course it shows a dialog to start the course from where it was left off, this proves that its possible to move to specific slide.

This feature seems to be possible in Captivate.

Please help me out with this requirement as its mandatory. Basically I want to capture Quiz Score and Progress without using a full blow LMS, is it possible to do without using LMS ?

-Thanks

Mahesh

Hello Mahesh!  Thanks for asking your questions.  We don't have a supported way to access system variables using JavaScript.  As you've noticed, though, you can enable different types of resume behavior for when your learner returns to the course, and that can be controlled from the player properties window.  Perhaps you can get creative with triggers and conditions so that the learners jump to a specific slide when certain conditions are met.

Traditionally, to track your learners' progress and score, you'll need to publish for LMS and host your content in an LMS environment.  But have a look at this article for some alternatives to using an LMS.

Hi Phil

Thanks for your quick response. we are working on e-learning project with moodle and scrom using articulate storyline 360. As i'm new to moodle i'm very much confused with moodle site configurations  could you please explain how can i get this option. it will be very helpful.

[In moodle it will resume at wherever you left off.]
