The hyperlink color is controlled by your theme colors. So you could change it to be more transparent if you'd like.
To change it, go to the Design tab and click the Colors drown-down list. Either select a different color scheme, or create a new one. See this tutorial for details.
When creating or editing your own custom color scheme, use the Hyperlink color selector (shown below) to choose the color you want for hyperlinked text. (Articulate Storyline will use a lighter shade of the same color for the hover color—the color that appears when you hover over a hyperlink.)
Thanks Ashley, but I can't see where to make that transparent, it defaults to a lighter shade as you say but I don't want it at all. And to add a hotspot instead is a little time consuming as its in a popup text box so it'd be another thing to time and popup.

Not entirely transparent - just "more transparent"
Apparently I was having an off language day. :)
If you don't want it at all, I think you'd need to go with the hotspot option.
