Can anyone help me with jumping text lines in a quiz question developed in storyline. I've had this issue several times and I'm due to finish up a course for a client asap but keep coming across this issue, which is holding me up. I'd be very grateful if anybody has a solution to share!
I've attached a jpeg showing what I mean. Thanks...
Thanks for the response. Unfortunately this is happening on my local drive and when I publish (using the published output intended for LMS) and uploading it to Articulate Tempshare and then testing it on another PC. It happens to a lot of quiz questions I've developed and I'm all of solutions :-(
I'm a bit confused about your testing set up. First, you'll want to confirm that when creating, editing and publishing your files it all occurs on your local drive (typically you're C drive). If you'll be publishing for LMS, you would want to follow the directions outlined here. You'll then want to place the zipped output or all the files in the published output folder that is created within your LMS. If you're not ready to publish it into your LMS, you would want to use a site such as SCORM Cloud which is an industry standard testing method for SCORM Content.
I have been working on my C drive the whole time. I have followed the publishing guidelines for LMS and generated the zip file and saved it to my C drive and everything seems fine. However now when I press 'View Project' after it's published, the course seems to launch and then nothing happens (i.e. a blank screen). As I'm not ready to publish it to the client's LMS as I want to do further checks, I uploaded the zip file to SCORMcloud. Again everything seems fine and it uploads ok but when I press launch I get a blank screen again. So in summary I can't view anything from the published files on my C drive or on SCORMclould!
I have opened the file and re-saved it as a different file name and gone through the publishing route again but again nothing will launch. NOw I miss the fact that my original problem was just misaligned text!
Thanks for the further explanation. In regards to viewing the published output from your C drive, that's not unheard of due to security restrictions from the computer, web browser, Flash Player, and network that'll cause various features of your content to fail. But if it's not playing at all once loaded into SCORM Cloud - that's something we'll definitely want to take a look at. Did you notice if it generated a new window (pop up)?
Can you share your Storyline file here with us? If you'd prefer to share privately I can send you directions on how to send to me directly.
I'm totally perplexed now! I've run a repair on the software and everything at this stage and no joy. It seems to go to a new window and there is a quick flash as if it's about to load and then a blank screengoes That would be great if you could look at it. It's actually a big file (173,568 KB). It would be great if I could send it to you privately as it's for a client.

HI Sinead,
This happens when you click on an answer? Are you working from a local drive and publishing to a local drive? Also, you mentioned this is happening in Preview, but as a reminder you'll want to test the published output within the intended environment.

Hi Sinead,
I'll send you directions on how to share it with me privately and then we can take a look at what's happening.
