Jumping to next slide

Sep 15, 2015

In Storyline2, is there a method to keep a user from being able to jump to the next slide if they click the Next button before the current slide has yet to complete?

you could do a couple different methods.

1) set the initial state of the next button to inactive then create a trigger to return it to normal state once the timeline ends.

 2) Create a next button on the slide that does the same as method 1

3) make your slides auto advance using the options on the slide. this will take away both the next and the previous button but the learner wont be able to advance otherwise. (this isnt a good thing though if you are wanting the learner to stay tuned in to the course.)

Thank you for helping out. The issue isn't with the conversion of a project from SL1 to SL2. I inherited this project and thought it was odd the way previous owner set up the triggers. I've only recently upgraded from the trial version to SL2 full version and learning more each day. SL2 is awesome and this forum is priceless.
