Just starting, have some questions

Jul 25, 2014

Hi there Heroes,

I was looking for a training software to upgrade our company's boring and antiquated training program and a colleague pointed me towards Articulate. I was so amazed with the demos and features that I couldn't drop it and I skipped lunch. I want to make sure that Storyline will be able to do everything we want, and I was wondering if somebody would be so kind to answer a few questions:

* Can I create screenshots and edit them with text captions, arrows, highlights, numbering system, etc. like I would be able to do, let's say with Clarify?

* Can I create narrated recordings of step by step processes on my computer screen within Storyline?

* Can I post the Storyline material that I create in a blog on our website? Can I publish it with WordPress?

* Does anybody know if there is already an interface with SalesForce CRMs?

Thank you so much!!!

Miriam

Screenshots are images so they are not really editable per se. However you can add the elements on top of your images and achieve the same result.

Sure you can. Have a look at this non-narrated step-by-step demo as an example.

* Can I post the Storyline material that I create in a blog on our website? Can I publish it with WordPress?

Yes you can. The code for this is quite simple :
<iframe width="720" height="596" src="/path/to/storyline/output/web/folder/story.html"></iframe>

There's no direct integration with Salesforce if that's what you are asking. I haven't had exposure to SalesForce much but I suspect that you can embed web content into the CRM. If my assumption is correct, then using the above HTML snippet will work.

Hope this helps,
Alex
