Key Press Triggers on Master Feedback Layer Always Active in HTML5

Mar 20, 2014

I've noticed an issue in later updates (4 and 5?) that I did not see earlier. I have a trigger on the feedback layer of the master slide that execute when the user presses a key. In the past, this was only active when that feedback layer was visible.

Now when running HTML5 output, if I press that key at any time, even when the master feedback layer is not visible, that trigger fires.

Has anyone else noticed this? Any way to disable this?

Thanks.

Hi Dane,

If you've added triggers to the slide master or feedback master in your Storyline project, you may find that they don't work as expected in HTML5 output.

This is a known issue. Currently, the workaround is to move those triggers to the content slides rather than the slide / feedback masters when you need to publish HTML5 content.
