Keyboard accessibility - Yellow focus highlight often isn't the right size to surround whole text box and thus covers text

Nov 28, 2023

This affects courses made using Storyline 360.

When I select the Narration button to view the narration script, the yellow highlight that is meant to surround the whole text box often covers some of the narration script, which impedes readability. (You can get the focus highlight to work properly if you tab to another button and then go back to Narration, but this requires more time and effort from the user.)

Is this something Articulate staff is aware of? It doesn't make courses inaccessible, but it is a glitch that makes participating in a course tedious.

Hello Daniella,

Happy to look into this for you!

Based on the screenshot, it looks like the Yellow focus box might be detecting a different shape, or the shape itself might need to be recreated.

Would you be willing to share a copy of your project file here or in private by opening a support case so we can take a closer look at what's happening? We'll delete it when we're done testing!

Sorry for the delay, but I have just created a support case (number is 00793069).

What I should have said in my original post is that the Narration button is simply the Notes tab, but it has been renamed for the purpose of adding the narration transcript to each slide that contains audio.
