I have a process map (PNG file, but very large horizontally - around 4,000 pixels which smashes the maximum image resolution Storyline will accept) which I need to add to a Storyline module, with the ability to scroll the image horizontally and with hotspots so that users can click an event in the map and hyperlink to a different scene.
I have found a few posts that explain how to achieve horizontal scrolling and am comfortable with that, and of course I know how to add hotspots, but I can't figure out a way around my large image problem.
Does anybody know any smart workarounds that might help me achieve this goal?
You'll have to tile the large image, in your case it could be two tiles with 2000 px each. The group the tiles and apply any triggers, motion path animatins, etc. to that group. See the first example here, which uses this technique.
Michael, thanks so much for replying with this solution. It looks like it ticks all the boxes. Is there any chance you'd share the .story file with me so that I can see how you achieved this? I'm on the path to Storyline 2 mastery but I'm not a Jedi yet :)
