Layer revisit

Hi All

I have a content slide with layers that appear on clicking.

The master slide I use has some buttons at the top of the page that when clicked, shows a layer that overlays the screen with information. This can then be closed.

My scenario is this. I click a button and show a layer, then I click the master slide button which shows that layer over the top of all content... when I close the master slide layer the content slide goes back to normal.

Is it possible to save the content slide layer when the master slide is clicked?
