Layer to layer difficultes.

Jul 10, 2016

need help! Have produced module that has layer to layer interaction. It has play/pause button and separate button for layer. When we click layer button the timeline doesn't stop or start... That is ok. When we click exit button to exit layer the timeline alter with play/pause button. All of this great stuff happens in storyline preview. It works perfect. After I publish, play html5 file, it changes. When we click the layer button everything is fine. But when we click the layer button to close it out (the play/pause button and the timeline is paused)  the timeline resumes and the play/pause button remains on play and should be on pause. Please help! We have exhausted all options! Thanks

Brent

This is a link. The action happens on every slide.

Hit pause button, click transcript, and click x button in top right hand corner of transcript box. You should see the video playing and play/pause button on play

Hi Brent!

Thanks for the details and for sharing your file so that we could take a look.

Are you viewing the HTML5 content in a supported browser as shared in this documentation?

Following the instructions you've shared here the preview, flash, and html5 is working the same for me in my published file:

Hi Brent,

Thanks for sharing your file here, it sounds similar to another issue reported to our QA team where the base timeline resumes when you close a layer in HTML5. I'm taking a look at your file to confirm, but I did want to pop in here to let you know that if it matches I'll include this discussion in the report filed with our team and I'll share any updates here once they are available, but I'm unable to offer a time frame in regards to when I'll have additional information to share.
