I have an optional slide in my course. I want the learner to be able to select the "next" button after each layer in case they want to move on in the course. I have tried variables (currently there is one variable set up), state changes, and countless out ideas, but nothing seems to work. Please help. Not sure what I'm missing.
On each layer is a "hide this layer when timeline ends." This makes it go back to the base layer. No matter which, or how many buttons the learner pushes, when they go back to the base layer, I want the next button to show. So this is a little different than my last inquiry. I didn't finish my trigger for the "Change state of next button" because it isn't working. My file is attached.

Hi Kendra,
What happens when you insert a button in the layer that goes to the next slide?
Hey Kendra!
I remember you asking a similar question here before. Check that out and let us know if you still need assistance.
A glance at your .story file to see what you've set up would be helpful if you need further assistance.

Try adding a trigger to each layer that changes the state of the next button to normal when the timeline ends.
