I can't seem to find this in my notes...I would like the leaner to go to the layer, then the next button appear. I don't want it based on the timeline or the media. I know how to disable and able the next button. But I can't get it to go from my base layer, to my layer, then my next slide.
Are you referring to slide 2.1? I see you have a trigger on the Layer 1 to change the state of the next button to normal when the media completes.
If you want the next button to appear when the layer starts, change this trigger to change the state when the timeline starts for that layer.
Also, the trigger to show the layer was not assigned to any media. I assigned it to the audio on the base layer and now the layer appears. The next button is normal when the layer appears as well.
You can change the trigger on the next button to show the layer instead of jumping to the next slide. In your current file, you have 2 triggers attached to the next button, to jump to next slide, and jump to 3.1. You can remove those and add a show layer trigger.
You can use a button on the layer to jump to the next slide, or you could have the slide advance when the layers timeline ends. Is there a particular reason why you need the next button to show the layer, and not the next slide?
That would really be up to you and your design. You could add a button on the base layer to show the layer 1, (You could even have this only visible after all the markers are viewed), then leave the next button to jump to the next slide from the layer only (by using the disable trigger).

Create a trigger. Then use the following settings:
Add a trigger to the button/object that shows the new layer.
Hello Kendra,
Attached is a file with the trigger set up in the layer for reference.

Still lost. Attached is an example.

Hi Kendra
see if this example is what you are after
What do I do if I have a layer with different triggers, but I want them to click the next button to go the layer?

Perfect!!! Thank you so much.
Ok. This didn't work. Please see attached.
Hello Kendra,
You had 2 triggers attached to the Next button. You can leave only the Show layer, and it is working now.
Ok, but the slides need to connect. What am I missing?

I have markers that I would like the user to be able to view before moving on to the layer. Maybe a button is the answer. What do you think?
