Layers not showing?

Hi all,

I'm new to storyline and was working on a tabs slide where each tab when clicked should show a new layer. I have assigned the layers correctly to each tab and added a trigger to show each layer. Problem is the first tab I click shows the corresponding layer but it stays on that layer and other layers will not show.

The only way I can work around this is to a close button on each layer to hide it before he user clicks the next tab. But is there a nicer more seamless way?
