Layers on Video from Website

Jun 11, 2014

I used the Insert Video from Website feature to embed a video from a local server on a slide.  And, while that works perfectly, I added layers on the slide and they are not showing.  While previewing, the layers play fine, but when published, the Video is always on top and you never see the layers.

I have a trigger on the base layer to show layer on timeline start.

Thoughts?  Anyone else having trouble with this when publishing?

Hi Angela and welcome to Heroes!

I just tested this with a random YouTube video (easiest thing to find) and then added a layer with an object that appeared over the video and it all worked fine. Where are you testing your published content? You'll want to test within the intended environment as described here.

Hi Angela,

Thanks for sharing the file and a link to the published output. I don't experience the same behavior as you mentioned - I actually see your layer and the video automatically downloads as an MP4 for me. I'm curious if you could share a link to where the video is hosted so I could look at the embed code?
