Learning Pool xAPI and reporting to LMS

Apr 14, 2023

Has anyone had an experience in publishing storyline content to learning pool? I am going around in circles as the course is not showing as complete. I have read the article on statements and found it so confusing. I have a trigger on the success layer of the results page which I thought would be enough but not so , any advice is welcome. TIA

Hi, Nick!

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing this issue, but I'm happy to help troubleshoot.

Have you tested your course in SCORM Cloud, to determine if the issue lies within the project file or is specific to your LMS? If your course doesn’t work at SCORM Cloud, we'll be happy to review your project file! We'll delete it from our systems once troubleshooting is complete.

In the meantime, here are some resources that may be helpful:

Hi Kelly,

Many thanks for your message.

I think that this firstly a question of understanding on my part.

After a bit of studying I think I understand things like this.

1. xAPI allows monitoring of elements within the course  such as watching a video or doing an exercise within the course, in a way it is a tighter way of seeing how the delegate completes a session. This is done by adding triggers within the slides asking it to send statements. Great for complex courses with lots of tasks to complete?

2. Scorm on the other hand is great for a simply course with a multiple response quiz at the end?

Does this sum it up or have I missed something?

Thanks,

Nick
