I'm not sure that option is supported, but you might want to set up a Freeform Drag and Drop item instead with the drop targets just to the left of the Choices. I'll put together a sample here in a moment.
Here are steps you can use to align the drop-down boxes any way you like:
1. When setting up your question in Form View, in the first box on the left side where you would normally enter text, enter a single space instead. In the next box beneath it, enter two spaces. And so on.
2. Enter your drop-down box choices in the right column as you normally would.
3. When you view your question layout on the slide, you can shrink the width of each text/drop-down box considerably by selecting it and dragging the right handle to the left or the left handle to the right.
4. Now drag the drop-down boxes wherever you need them to appear on the slide.
5. Lastly, create text boxes associated with each matching drop-down box and position each as needed to align with the corresponding drop-down box.
There is a known issue right now with RTL text and the invalid answer prompt and the resume prompt not display correctly - essentially the text is squished. In the meantime, for the invalid answer set up you could create your own custom pop up as described here.

Hope that helps!
Brilliant idea, Steve! That's far easier than my approach! and should deliver exactly what she wants.
Thanks for the answer Steve.
Hi,
I have one more question regarding this quiz.
How can I create Invalid text pop up layer for this quiz, as default Invalid quiz popup is showing junk characters in URDU.
Regards,
Preeti
