I have Storyline 2 installed on my PC at work and I am resigning from this position at work, nonetheless, can I give someone else the installation and then they just install Storyline 2. Or is this only one licence for one computer? If so how can I transfer the ownership of the licence to someone else in my team?
If you need help you're also welcome to contact our Support department and they'll be able to answer any questions for you. As technically, the Articulate End User License Agreement (EULA) doesn't permit transferring software to another user. If there's a special condition that would require a transfer, such as an employee leaving the company, you'll need to request consent for the transfer.
I'm very disappointed that the licencing works this way. Makes our choice to move to Captivate much easier.
We will not pay $1500 every time someone leaves the organisation. If the company pays for the licence it should belong to the company and be tied to 1 machine, not the user.
I may be wrong, but I don't think that's how it works. From the EULA: "Licensee means the User, together with the business or other entity for which the Licensed Products are obtained."
If you have any questions about our EULA or license transfers, please feel free to connect with our Customer Care team here. The link I shared previously was for our perpetual products, and with the addition of Articulate 360 and the Teams plan, there are a few more options for transferring a license to another user.
Yes, this is about the perpetual licence. Unfortunately, 360 is not an option for us and so Articulate have priced themselves out of the market for quite a few users. Perpetual licences should belong to the company and tied to a machine, not a user.
