Is there a limit or maximum length on an audio file before sound quality suffers? We recorded 2 audio segments for an elearning, 1 about a minute and the other about 7. Both sounded perfect on initial playback, but as I am working with the file the first one still sounds great but the long one is very choppy like a skipping record. Do I need to re-record in more but shorter segments?
Hi, Emily -- One minute and 7 minutes each for audio files should note pose a problem, so you might want to take a look at this post regarding skipping for some additional ideas. And if issues persist, please feel free to share your files so we can take a closer look.
Thanks for the reply, Christie. I cannot post the file I was originally working with. I replicated the issue with a new file (read from a book just to have a longer file to work with). Seems to be a result of minor edits from the Audio Editor in a long recording. Has anyone else experienced this?
