After I link a scene it always shifts below the scene it was linked to. How do you link a scene and have it remain in place (to the right of the scene it was linked to)?
Longer answer: STORY VIEW is programmed to show you how your course connects. So when you create a multi-scene linear course, it will always show those scenes in one long line.
The arrow shows the connection between the last and first slide of both scenes. There is not need to move the entire scene. I recommend adding a feature to see it both ways. Let the user make the choice.
I've added your comments to the feature request for the ability to visually adjust Story View. We will be sure to update this discussion with any news should this make it onto our feature roadmap.

Hi, Ken,
Short answer: You don't.

Hi again, Ken,
You could submit that as a feature request: https://articulate.com/support/contact/feature-request
However, be aware that submitting a request doesn't necessarily lead to getting the feature added. (Something I know from experience.) :-)
