I have placed some text inside a marker text box that I have added a hyperlink to (see image attached). I want the link to show a layer with a video on it. When I click the link, nothing happens. If I change the target of the hyperlink to another slide, it works fine. I really want the the layer to show. Please advise. Thank you!
Thanks Ashley... I'm just gonna do a work around and put my video on a separate slide. No big deal. Thank you to all of you and your excellent support of our community!
I have also experienced this issue. I had a friend at another company create a file and his file worked but when he provided it to me it did not. I also published the file to see if it would work. In either case, the link does not function. I have updated Storyline to address any bugs. Here is a copy of my file. If the issue is like what I described- it will not replicate for everyone.
What happens when you try to click on the link? When you use it are you accessing the published course after uploading to the intended publish environment?
Nothing happens when I click the link. When I publish, it doesn't work there either. In both cases, the result is the same. See the image below. It highlights but doesn't go anywhere.

I also wanted to mention that your image attachment did not come through. Looks like you are replying via e-mail, which does not allow your attachments to come through, but does include your signature. You are welcome to pop in and edit if needed.
Hi Leslie,
I am able to view your published content. I upgraded my flash player and rebooted my computer. However, this did not resolve the issue. I cannot preview the content in Storyline. The link isn't working. It's the same as before, the link is highlighted when I click it but doesn't activate.
I would suggest updating to the latest version of Storyline 2, which is now Update 9. This will also repair your software.
If you are not able to see issue in my published file, seems that it's something with your file/software. Leaning towards software as the file worked great for me upon preview and publish.

Hm, this works for me.
I believe that it should as well. I will save my project, close it, reopen and see if that makes any difference.
You can always share your .story file here and someone will have a closer look.
After I closed and restarted, same result... it doesn't make sense.
Hi Terry,
Are you able to share the .story file as Michael requested?

Hi Terry -
Certainly understand - but let us know if you want to share it for us to take a look at the set up. We're always happy to help.

Hi Heather
Works as described in preview and publish.
