Linking button to pdf

I am publishing to a CD and having a few problems. I need to link a button to launch a pdf and nothings happening when I test the course when I publish it. The button does nothing. When I look at the files, I see the external content and the pdf in the folder, but it doesn't open the file when I click the button. I'm certain it can work, as I see it pulled in the pdf file when I published the course.
Suggestions?
Also, I do notice that I have to double click story.html to start the course, Launch_story.exe doesn't seem to launch the course. It tells me that the navigation was cancelled in the pop up window.

I think the best way to ensure the links work is to use the .exe. Flash player will likely prevent those types of links from opening so using story.html isn't the safest option.
It's probably better to resolve your launch_story.exe issues. It's possible your local user rights are preventing an .exe from loading.
Any chance you can post your file? Or a sample file that also causes the same issue for you?
Sure. Would you like the zip published or the actual storyline file?
Either is fine as long as you're sending the source .story file. The forums have a 2mb limit, so whatever is easiest for you.
