I've created a 70 item quiz and need the ability to view learner responses by item. I've publised using AICC with the reporting of "Passed/Failed" however, question level scores are not enabled when I view the results in the LMS. I'd appreciate suggestions regarding settings or strategies that can be used to enable this functionality.
It sounds like it may be your LMS that is preventing you from seeing the question level details, as Storyline sends all the data listed here. It's up to the LMS to determine how to interpret that data.
Which LMS are you using?
If you'd like to test your content to confirm, you can use SCORM Cloud. To test AICC content at SCORM Cloud, you'll need to modify the Filename(URL) field when you publish your Articulate content, and upload the published output to an external server. Here's how.
That explanation makes sense and I've requested assistance from our LMS provider. We're using Verint Impact 360. However, the standard response is that the issue is with the software being used.
I had the same request for Plateau. They said that the data is "somewhere" in their database but they had no method of retrieving it in a report. They can only provide that data if you use their internal quiz construction program.
Peter has taken a different position at Articulate and doesn't get back into the forums as often, but I wanted to point you to the article which details what quiz data Storyline will send to your LMS. As Brent mentioned, it's then up to the LMS to read the data and provide the report to you, and how they do that varies across platforms.
You may want to look into using Articulate Online, which you can start a free 30-day trial by visiting this page.
If you need anything else, please feel free to let us know.
Ashley. So the data is it transmitted on every submit or at the results slide? I am trying to hack/intercept this because our LMS is telling us the same story as above.
Storyline is regularly communicating with your LMS so that if you close out the course and choose to resume the information is tracked and you're able to resume where you left off but the final score is not submitted till the results slide. If you're looking to post data to your LMS after every slide, you may want to review the option provided here by Jeff.

Peter, do you know if Moodle captures all of the Quiz data Storyline produces? If not, do you know of an LMS that does? Thanks!
