Mac users w/ retina display: Character Heads Popping off

Nov 13, 2012

Hey everyone,

I know I've seen this discussion before and not sure if it was ever resolved. While delivering Storyline training this week one of my participant's screen looked like this when attempting to insert a character. When a character is inserted onto a slide, the head is floating off to one side.

He was on a Mac Book Pro with retina display. What we discovered is if he turned off retina display, everything looked and behaved normal.

Doesn't appear to be a specific bug to Storyline rather how the retina display on a Mac handles it.

Hi Alexandre,

We have not announced plans for native Mac versions of our software to enable content authoring on non-Windows systems. However, you can install Articulate products in Parallels Desktop, VMware Fusion, or Apple Boot Camp:

http://www.articulate.com/blog/how-to-run-articulate-on-macs/

For best practices using Articulate software in Parallels Desktop, please review the following article:

Although Articulate content cannot be authored natively in a Mac environment, learners can view the published output on a Mac.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks!
