Make Questions Required
Mar 06, 2019
I have several quiz and and survey questions scattered throughout a course. We need to make all of these questions required. In other words, we don't want to allow users to skip these questions. However, we need to leave the navigation menu unrestricted.
I recall that in older versions of Presenter (not Storyline) we could do this, and users could not use the navigation menu to skip past required questions. Does this functionality exist in Storyline 360? If not, what suggestions do you have for accomplishing this goal?

Hi there, Louis! Questions by default are required on the slide, but it sounds like you need to prevent learners from using the Menu to navigate away. Can you disable the Menu for your question slides?
Yes, I could do that. But that would not prevent a user from skipping a quiz question before reaching it. What would be nice is functionality that doesn't allow a user to use the menu to jump past a quiz question. Does that option no longer exist (like it used to in Presenter)?
Hi Louis,
Another idea is to remove the quiz slides from the menu altogether, but unfortunately that would not prevent the learner from skipping past the quiz slides.
Storyline doesn't have a feature to prevent the learner from jumping past a required quiz question, but there may be other solutions the community can share with you here!
