Making Visiting Layers Mandatory

Nov 29, 2022

Hello All,

I am working on a project in which the customer would like the user not to have access to the next button until all layers in the slide are visited. I think I remember seeing an on-demand training regarding this but can't find it now. Could anyone help with this?

Thanks,

Courtney

I'm not sure if this is where I should post this, but I'm trying to add a final layer that has audio to tell the user they can revisit each layer or click next if they're done.  However, on the base slide is a video.  The video stops and the user clicks a hotspot and shows the layer.  But for some reason, on that last layer, instead of it showing the video frozen at the end, it starts the video again and the audio doesn't play.  I'm not sure how to fix this.

Hello Jason,

If you're willing to share a copy of your project file here or in private by opening a support case, we'll be able to take a look at how your last layer is configured and what specifically is causing the video to start again.

On your end, you'll want to make sure that you have the correct layer properties configured to make sure that the timelines that you want paused remain paused until the layer is closed.

Pausing the timeline of the base layer is an example of how you can control which elements will play or resume when a layer is opened.
