I am creating a course with a couple of YouTube clips that the user must watch (or at least click on) before they are able to click on the "next" button, however I am struggling to work out how to do this. Any suggestions??
The YouTube clips are embedded into the slide, and work fine.
Hi Christy, it isn't possible to do this using native Storyline functionality. The YouTube video is hosted in a different environment, Storyline and the video do not have access to each other and therefore are not passing any communication between each other.
We built a solution recently that used a web object to host the YouTube video and then integrated the YouTube API which allowed communication between Storyline and the YouTube video. We were then able to Enable/Disable the next button and also prevent the user from jumping forward in the video. It worked well.
I can show you how if you are comfortable with using webobjects?
I've also attached a video to guide you in the process. Be aware, that this will not run locally and needs to be published to the internet/intranet to run.
