microphone for narration/voiceover

Mar 02, 2016

Hi everyone, I'm new to this.  I'm trying to use a Samson Meteor Mic which produces crystal clear audio when recorded to software like Audacity but I can't get it to directly work from Storyline 2. I can see that something has been recorded but I can't hear it, and the sound waves are minute.

I have followed all the instructions from https://community.articulate.com/series/articulate-storyline-2/articles/using-the-audio-tools. The device is recognised but there is no recording line. Should there be a default recording line like in the screenshots in the tutorial?

Also, the volume defaults to min. Can anyone tell me where I'm going wrong?

Thanks Christie. Unfortunately the problem isn't knowing how to use it. It's that it doesn't record through Storyline, despite the microphone being recognised as the recording device.

I can record separately using Audacity, produce MP3 files and then import them into the Storyline module. It's just much easier if I can record the narration directly. I might ask our IT guys to take a look at it. I'll let you know if they find a solution, it might help someone else.
