Minimizing Storyline window & Layout Screen Object Cutoffs

Nov 02, 2012

I just purchased Storyline yesterday and have run in to two fundamental issues. Any guidance would be appreciated.

1. When I click on the main Storyline task bar, I am unable to minimize the program or make the window smaller allowing me to drag it to another screen.

2. In the slide layout view, when I insert an object such as a shape, or a text box, those items are cut off and do not display correctly. When I click Preview, they display correctly.

Thanks in advance for your feedback

Hi Sandra, welcome to Heroes

It sounds like maybe one of several things may be going on here. I'd first check to make sure your computer's DPI is set to 96. I'd also recommend ensuring that your computer's color depth is not set too low. Finally, check to make sure that none of these common issues that cause unexpected behavior are throwing a wrench in the system. And if nothing seems to be helping, we'd be happy to take a closer look at it. Please submit a case, including your .story file, using this link so our support team can assist you further.

Thanks!

Hmm... Looks like this post is super old, but... I cannot find this DPI of which you speak-- it keeps looping me in circles. I'm not having all of the same issues as Sandra though-- I just want to make the Storyline workspace smaller. Not sure what we would call that-- it's not minimizing-- just reducing that size so that it's not taking up the whole screen. Right now I can get it to about half, and then it just won't get any smaller. Not sure if this is something you can help with, but thought I'd give it a shot.
