Misaligned shapes

Hi All,
In order to highlight sections of a form I've used zoom regions then dimmed out the irrelevant items using semi transparent shapes, but aligning these is proving difficult as the edit mode does not match preview mode:
This is the edit mode view of two semi transparent boxes lined up to form one continuous shape, Storyview is set to 100%.
This is the same section but in preview mode. The two boxes are no longer accurately aligned and there is visible white space between them.
Trial and error alignment is proving to be quite time consuming.
Is there any reason why this may be occurring?

Hi Harri! Just curious, but how does your content look when you publish?
Sorry, I should have mentioned that the preview is an accurate reflection of the published result.
Thanks Harri! Just wanted to check. Can you submit your .story file so that we can have a look? Thanks!
Sure, i'll submit a case this afternoon
Hi Harri! Just wanted to follow-upwith you and update the community as well. I see where John was able to answer your questions and that your issuehas actually been submitted to QA for further investigation.
this is still happening in 360 6 years later!..also happening with video both when previewed and published....seems like it's off 1 or 2 pixels.
Hey John,
Thank you for reaching out and letting us know!
Since this thread is a bit older, I was hoping to start fresh to make sure I am on the same page. To clarify, are your shapes not matching when editing/previewing/publishing your course? Also, you mention that videos are also being misaligned as well?
With your permission, would it be okay if you could share your .story file to this thread? If you prefer to send them privately, please feel free to connect with our Support Engineers here. We'll let you know our findings and will delete it after having a closer look.
8 years on now and still not fixed. 1st image is of a block of 4 rectangles placed on top of each other on the storyline stage. The second image is published and previewed output:
Note on the above. All shapes are the same size and have been place to abut against each other
Hello David!
I'm happy to look into this with you. I see how there are four rectangles with text. Is the border added to all of the rectangles, or did you add an additional shape behind the rectangles with the text?
I'd like to try and recreate this on my end. Do you mind sharing your .story file in this discussion or privately in a support case?
Hi Lauren. Thanks for your reply. There are no borders. The orange you can see is the background of the slide. I have uploaded the file.
Thanks, David. I'm glad to see that you're working directly with Johnrey.
This has been replicated by the team and has been submitted as a possible bug. Is it rude to ask what has been happening for over 8 years??? How much longer can we expect to wait???
